Fun In the Sun in SOFLO...

So last week I got to go down to Boca Raton, FL for what I like to call my 'personal babymoon'. My last week ever (ok I exaggerate, awhile) to have no chores, responsibilites, cleaning, cooking, dogs peeing on the floor, etc to deal with! We had our national sales meeting there Tues-Fri, and I arrived on Sun for some much needed R&R. My company put us up at the fabulous Boca Raton Resort which is owned by the Waldorf Astoria (need I say more?). Those of you who know me well know I am a extremely particular about hotels and love posh, boutique style spots, so I was in my own personal heaven! It was so nice to have my own suite and lounge by the pool for a day or two (which was interesting considering I am pale and huge right now and looked a bit out of place surrounded by a swarms of tanned, toned, surgically enhanced south Floridians!!). I got to spend some QT with Brandi who is great with the camera, so we had a mini maternity 'photo shoot' in some fun spots around town. I loved it and had such a great time. Leighton's First Shindig!

Let me begin by saying I have the most wonderful girlfriends in the world! Katie, Jill, Brandi, Kelley Anne, Courtney, Stacy, Brittney, Jamie, and Kelly threw us a fabulous baby shower (on the coldest, iciest day of the year may I add!) and it was more than perfect! They put so much thought and effort into every last detail. Leighton got so many wonderful things, she's already spoiled rotten! Here are some of my favorite moments from the day captured by Brandi and her great photog skills:)

3D Ultrasound Round 2!

At week 28, we decided to do another 3D ultrasound since we were so happy with the first one. They say between weeks 28-30, you get a much clearer picture of what the baby will actually look like as they have typically gained body fat at this point (and look more human than alien like!). I definitely see myself in her chubby cheeks, but can also see alot of Jason in her profile. I am crossing my fingers she gets his good nose:) Here are some of the highlights.

I also included a video clip of her moving around like a little maniac. My favorite part is toward the end when we could see her mouth open up for a brief moment in the clip... more than likely practicing her swallowing. They practice swallowing fluid in utero to prepare them for real life, which is pretty interesting! You really don't want to know what the fluid is comprised of, so I will spare you the gory details ;)
