Busy, Busy, Busy

This is the most common adjective used by strangers to comment on Leighton... "Oh, she is so sweet and happy.... And just so busy, busy, busy! No wonder you've lost your baby weight!". Yes, our child is officially a non-stop go getter from the moment she wakes to the moment her head hits the pillow! This shouldn't surprise me, as the apple truly never falls too far from the tree. Have you ever seen me sit still? She is so curious about everything, and is CONSTANTLY into anything she can get her hands on. I can tell you multiple stories of near disasters I've just barely avoided involving her and stairs, large objects, electrical outlets, toilets, dog poo, refigerators, garbage, etc. You name it! I am sure you can use your imagination :) The great thing is, she can play by herself quite well, and we can put her in her pack and play or exersaucer when we need to leave the room or do things, and she tolerates it well.

All things aside, we love our dear 'adventurer', and wouldn't have her any other way!!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.... Doesn't she look just thrilled in these? Yes, our little angel eater who used to eat EVERYTHING is now becoming picky at mealtime... NOT FUN for mom and dad :( Some meals have become quite a battle, involving me, Leighton, and the spoon loaded with pureed food. I will let you guess who the winner typically is ;)
